Clubhouse & Facility Use
The Sarasota Outboard Club is a private, member-based organization. Use of the clubhouse and surrounding facilities is limited to:
- SOC members and their invited guests
- Approved private events sponsored by members, with the sponsoring member present throughout the event
- Not for commercial or profit use
Hosting Private Events
Members wishing to host special events at the clubhouse must receive prior approval from the Board of Directors. Requests should be submitted at least 45 days in advance and include:
- Date and time of the event
- Estimated number of guests
- Areas of the facility being requested (clubhouse, kitchen, cook shack, etc.)
- All requests are subject to board review and facility availability.
Use by Non-Members
Use of the facility by outside individuals, organizations, or charities is permitted only with approval from the Board of Director
All outside requests must be submitted at least 45 days in advance, in writing, and include:
- Event details
- Proof of liability insurance as required by the City of Sarasota
Important:
- Docks and boat ramps are not available for use by outside parties
- Cleaning/damage deposit required; refundable if facility is left in good condition
- All users must follow SOC rules and City of Sarasota regulations
